Job Title: IT Engineer

Job Summary:
· Use monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios) to ensure optimal network and system performance.
· Respond to alerts and incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
· Monitor servers, network devices, and applications for health, performance, and security, and identify potential issues.
· Diagnose and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 issues related to Network connectivity, Desktops and Server performance, and application failures.
· Escalate complex issues to specialized upper-level technical teams as necessary.
· Provide remote and on-site technical support in managing and maintaining servers, workstations, peripheral devices, and system-related problems.
· Installing, configuring and managing operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
· Respond to and resolve user requests related to hardware, software, and system access.
· Support the implementation and monitoring of security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, surveillance and access controls.
· Assist in ensuring systems are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
· Monitor daily network performance to identify anomalies or potential issues.
· Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems.
· Setup and configuration of routers, switches, and wireless access points.
· Help deploy and test new network technologies, including upgrades and expansions.
Skills Requirements:
· IP Addressing and Subnetting
· DNS, DHCP, and NAT
· VLAN configuration and management
· Routing and Switching concepts
· Familiarity with routers, switches, and wireless access points (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba).
· Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, and SNMP.
· Ability to monitor traffic and identify performance bottlenecks.
· Basic understanding of firewalls and VPNs.
· Familiarity with operating systems such as: Windows (Windows Server, Windows 10, Windows 11 etc.), Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS), macOS
· Understanding of system installation, configuration, and management.
· Familiarity with IT management tools such as: Remote desktop tools (e.g., RDP, TeamViewer)
· Knowledge of data backup tools and strategies (e.g., Acronis, or native OS tools).
· Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Wireshark, Zabbix, MRTG etc.).
Education : BSc in CSE, EEE
