Role Overview
At 10 Minute School, the Software Quality Assurance Engineer plays an essential role in ensuring the software products meet the highest standards of quality. This role involves close collaboration with various teams to thoroughly test software, identify and report bugs, and assist in the resolution process.
Responsibilities
- Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating software testing activities
- Executing test cases manually, analyzing results, and creating test reports
- Identifying, recording, documenting thoroughly, and tracking bugs
- Performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Performing API testing using Postman
- Collaborating with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in a professional setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent is preferable
- Proficiency in automation tools, experience with load and performance testing tools (jmeter, k6)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and communication
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Must be good with documentation
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, Insomnia or through automation
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- ISTQB certification or any SQA related certificate will be preferable
